Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
